Estonia Hotels and Resorts - Ever wanted to eat blood sausages washed down with a syrupy liquor of unknown origin, go bog walking and sleep with 80 untouchable nuns and novices? You can do it all in Estonia, the small territory which packs in some charming quirks without ruining your budget. The early years of independence brought hardship, but Estonia is recovering. Despite the rapid changes since it regained its independence in 1991, there's still a lot of tradition, including a language packed with deep 'oo's and 'uu's and thriving folk shindigs.

Ammende Villa, dating from 1905, is the most impressive Art Nouveau, or Jugendstil, building in Estonia. Ammende Villa Hotel & Restaurant was opened after extensive renovation in 1999 and is among the most outstanding attractions in P?rnu. It is not only a fascinating building to look at, but also a renowned world-class hotel and restaurant, which also hosts regular and varied concerts and exhibitions. Enter the villa and you will find yourself in its very heart, the grand hall, rising through two floors. Walk through the hall to our salons and dining halls, or go up the stately oak stairs to the suites. The halls, salons and hotel rooms are spacious, providing an atmosphere of comfort and serenity. All the rooms in the showpiece main building are furnished with century-old solid wood furniture which retains its original looks from 100 years ago. The former home of a successful merchant welcomes you with the respect and cordiality characteristic of the olden times. Sipping a cup of strong but mild North-Italian coffee, tasting our chefs' savoury delights in our restaurant, or relaxing in your suite, feel the nostalgic magic of stepping a hundred years back in time.

The suite has a floor area of about 100 m2, and comprises a bedroom, a living room, a hall, a bathroom with Jacuzzi and sauna, a balcony, and a toilet. MAHOGANY SUITE
- The Mahogany Suite is on the first floor of the right wing of the main building. The room got its name from the wonderful hand-polished mahogany furniture. RESTAURANT AND BARS: You will feel most welcome in the à la carte restaurant of Ammende Villa, where exquisite French and Mediterranean dishes served on fine china are accompanied by candlelight, the dignified serenity of the interior, and discreet and courteous service. Take your time to sip your aperitif. Relax in a salon before dinner, choose your food and listen to some dreamy music. While you do this, skilful young cooks, who have studied the art of cooking under French and Swiss gourmet gurus, are preparing delicious starters, inspiring main courses, and desserts that simply melt on your tongue. At your table the cloth is carefully smoothed, the tableware aligned so, the candles lit…
“Ladies and gentlemen! I would like to ask you to follow me to the dining hall.

RED SALON
- Travel a hundred years back in time to where you can almost hear the gentle laughter of the ladies and glimpse their fine hats. This small and lovely salon is enchanting – shades of red, marvellous rosebushes on wall paintings, an old harpsichord and creaking parquet. A room filled with secret stories.

GREEN SALON
- Once you have experienced the elegance of the Green Salon, you will never forget it. The most skilful craftsmen have done their work with love and care. Exquisite ceiling paintings, a gorgeous chandelier, century-old parquet, a white tile stove built by potters from Riga, and, of course, those loveliest of hand-embroidered silk curtains moving gently in the wind… The Green Salon is surprisingly suitable for different occasions – it is right for festive meals, conferences, wedding ceremonies, concerts, receptions, or, why not, just for sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee.

BILLIARDS SALON
- In the left wing of the building, next to the Red and Green Salons is the Billiards Salon. In contrast to the feminine Red Salon, this is the room for the gentleman: none is ever bored in here! Could you pass the real Russian billiards table and not try your hand for a shot or two? Even the most refined of palates finds a drink of choice at the bar, while the cigar chest hides some delights for a true cigar lover. And when you find a door in the Billiards Salon that leads to a magical secluded balcony, you could take an unforgettable dinner there on a summer evening.

BLUE DINING HALL
- There are three dining halls in the right wing of the villa and the Blue Dining Hall is the most spacious of them, home to the moss green tile stove which so neatly matches the dark blue walls of the room. The lights of the chandelier reflect from the mirror-like doors of the stylish pear tree cupboard which glows like amber, while green ivy vines on white porcelain, and dignified tableware on a white rose-patterned tablecloth wait for a dinner to start. Thirty-six guests, and sometimes even more, can be seated on these chairs covered in blue velvet.

WINE HALL
- This is one of the two smaller dining halls, often chosen for its more private atmosphere. This room will seat up to 16 people to dinner at a long table.

HUNTING HALL
- The hunting trophies and weapons displayed on the walls have several exciting stories to tell about the adventures of Mr. Ammende, a passionate hunter. The imposing fireplace radiates warmth and makes the dark shades of the room nice and cosy. It is a perfect room for smaller parties.
